October 31st – november 1st 2009, ARAD (ROMANIA)
ORGANIZER: Vados Chess Club Arad, with the support of Arad City Hall and Arad County Chess Association.
TOURNAMENT VENUE: Arad, Decebal Street no. 19 – Army’s House – Mirrors Hall
PLAYING SYSTEM, GAME TEMPO: swiss, 9 rounds, 25 min/player/game.
PRIZES:
GENERAL :
1. - 1000 RON (~ 240 euro)
2. - 750 RON (~ 180 euro)
3. - 500 RON (~ 120 euro)
4. - 350 RON (~ 85 euro)
5. - 200 RON (~ 50 euro)
6. - 100 RON (~ 25 euro)
ELO < 1900 (minimum 7 players): 1. - 200 RON
ELO 1900-2100 (min. 7 players) : 1. - 200 RON
ELO 2101-2300 (min. 7 players) : 1. - 200 RON
JUNIORS under 16 years: 1. - 100 RON
JUNIORS under 12 years: token prizes for first three players
ARAD players: 1. – 150 RON; 2. – 100 RON; 3. – 50 RON
LUCKY LOSER: 100 RON – through drawing of lots between those players who didn’t get any other prize
All the prizes are neto (tax free), guaranteed, not cumulative and will be divided according to the Hort system
ENTRY FEE:
GM, WGM, IM, WIM – no entry fee
ELO > 2400 – no entry fee
General – 30 RON; Juniors < 16 years old – 20 RON ; Seniors (over 60 years) – 20 RON
Late registration : Those players whose application will be registered after 27.10.2009 will pay additional charge of 10 RON
PROGRAM: Saturday, 15.11.2008 - 9,00 hour: last entries, technical meeting followed by first round. Prize giving ceremony - 16.11.2008 - 15,00 hour
ACCOMMODATION:
- Boarding school – 15 RON/person/night in rooms with 4-5 beds;
- Coandi Hotel*** (www.hotelcoandi.ro): rooms with bath, TV, air condtioning, wireless internet
14 euro/person/night – in 2 bed rooms (or 17 euro with breakfast)
15 euro/person/night – in rooms with matrimonial bad (or 18 euro with breakfast)
22 euro/ person/night – in single rooms (or 27 euro with breakfast)
Free Features included in the price: tennis court with night installation, arranged for the beach area on the bank of Mures

Free accommodation for IMs in boarding school.
Exchange rates: 1 euro = 4.20 lei (RON)
